When we started DanF40 Group, we knew we wanted to find some way to give back and dedicate some of our time for free to a cause that we believed in and could help.

We are passionate about animals and between my wife and myself, we have had all animals from gerbils to tortoises to cats, dogs, guinea pigs and horses. The only time we have not had animals in our lives was the first months in Alberta, Canada, but this quickly changed when my wife found Donut on the Humane Societies website.
Donut, a 10 year old lady that does not play well with other cats or small humans, she is moody, cantankerous and intelligent. This makes for a challenging pet and could be why she had been re-homed and returned a few times, and possibly why she spent a longer stint at the Humane Societies than most. but now she is with us and part of our family.

Donut is the perfect example of what we would like to help with. She is also extremely playful and deeply affectionate, when she is not angry at other cats or small humans! If there was a way this could have been portrayed through photos she may have found a home quicker. We want to extract every animals individual personality so when you are looking for a furry companion you can hopefully see more of them from their advert and who knows, it might even make you want to meet them in person.

Please follow this link below and see all the good work and available animals the Humane Society has. All animals deserve a second chance!
